April 01, 2024

Jesse Ramon Flores, 73, passed away on March 31, 2024. He was born on May 6, 1950, to Leandro and Josefa Flores in Ozona, Texas.

Jesse was the most humble, loving, and hardworking man. He never met a stranger and was loved by many.

In 1971, Jesse married Mary Helen Munoz. He immediately showed he would be a dedicated family man, purchasing his first and only home. He was so proud to be able to do that and eventually he and Mary welcomed two daughters home. He never had sons, but he was determined to show his daughters his love of fishing and sports, taking them out everywhere he loved going including to watch the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers, and Houston Oilers. He enjoyed watching the Ozona Lions football team and would travel to watch them anytime he could. He always showed his support for the Lions wearing his purple & gold. Yearly summer trips to any beach was also something he enjoyed doing with his family.

In 1992, his first granddaughter, Teresa Marie (Cervantes) Cisneros, was born. Later grandchildren, Camille Ann Cervantes, Stephanie Lynn (Cervantes) Camarillo, Ericka Danielle Diaz, Aaron Christopher Martinez, Amerie Christine Martinez, and Evan Christopher Martinez also arrived. He loved them dearly and enjoyed any time he could spend with them. Lately he was so excited to know his fifth great-grand baby would be arriving soon. He would tell everyone he saw about the upcoming birth. His unconditional love and presence will be dearly missed.

Jesse is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Mary Helen and his two daughters, Vivian Cervantes & husband Jimmy Swearingen and Alma K. Martinez & husband, Christopher Martinez. Brothers Leandro Flores Jr and wife Anna, Eldimiro Flores and wife Eduwina, Matias Flores and wife Argentina, Jaime Flores and wife Elizabeth, Baldemar Flores and wife Irma, and Omero Flores; sister Virginia Gonzales; 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
