Children learn during VBS

Ozona—About 25 children from kindergarten to 5th grade attended the First Baptist Church of Ozona’s Vacation Bible School (VBS), June 8-12.
This year’s theme was “Magnified,” which Linda Conner, ministry assistant and VBS director, said represents that “everything is bigger with Jesus in your life.”
“There's a different Bible story for them to learn, crafts for them to do, and a mission for them to learn about [each day],” Conner said. “Plus, snacks for them, and the [snacks] are geared around the theme of the Bible story.”
The event welcomed members of First Baptist Ozona and kids attending different churches or no church.
“[It’s] open to the whole community,” Conner said. VBS helps kids to draw closer to the Lord.
Conner said the church has almost 20 people working on the VBS event.
“Without their help, there's no way we could put this on,” she said.
A healthy Crockett County requires great community news.
