July 11, 2025

After a long lost battle with Alzheimer’s, Irene R. Gonzales went to her heavenly home on July 10, 2025.
Irene was born on May 27, 1937.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years - Joe. F. Gonzales, an 11-month-old infant son - Jose Luis Gonzales, her parents – Julian and Ysabel Ramirez, a sister – Belia Reyes, three brothers -Goyo, Taro and Bronson and a half-brother, Choco.
She is survived by her son Richard Gonzales and wife Sue, daughters – Edna Davila from Odessa and Norma Perez and Betty Castro from Ozona. Numerous grandkids, great-grandkids and great-great-grandkids. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly, and her brother Naco and two sisters Chila and Uki. Irene was loved by many. She won the hearts of many employees as well as presidents at the care center where she resided these last two and a half years.
We would like to thank the Crockett County Care Center staff for all the loving care she was given while there. A very special thank you to hospice nurse LVN Veronica Fierro. Ronnie held a special place in Mom’s heart as her voice would always bring a smile to Mom’s face.
Mom will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Forever in our hearts.
