T.J. Bailey, local manager for the West Texas Utilities Co , told members of the Ozona Rotary Club and their guests something of the plan under which power and light companies of the state assure customer uninterrupted service through a system of inter-connections by which power may be switched from the lines of one company to those of another in case of breakdown.
Mr. Bailey touched on the three principal divisions of the West Texas Utilities Co. operation that of generating power, its transmission over high lines and its ultimate distribution to household and industrial users. The speaker ended his discussion with a waning of the dangers of electricity if carelessly handled and urged his hearers to develop a respect for electric current, even that of low voltage because under certain conditions even the ordinary home light current is capable of causing death or serious injury.
