The Crockett County Sheriff’s Office responded to a variety of calls for service, including traffic-related incidents, disturbances and criminal complaints. Arrests and charges are allegations, and all individuals are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
Activity Summary
During the reporting period, deputies responded to:
- medical/fire 911 calls - 5
- minor or major traffic accidents - 5
- criminal complaints, disturbances or loud noise calls - 8
- civil documents served - 5
- civil complaints - 2
- motorist assists or locked vehicle calls - 3.
Deputies conducted 87 traffic stops during the week.
No livestock, wild or domestic animal complaints were reported. No juvenile or school-related incidents were reported. No reckless driving complaints or alarm calls were reported during this period.
Incidents
Feb. 16
- Deputies responded to a motor vehicle crash on Interstate 10. EMS, fire and DPS assisted.
- Deputies were dispatched to Avenue E for a disturbance.
- A deputy conducted a child custody standby on State Highway 163.
Feb. 17
- A suspicious person was reported on Avenue E.
- Deputies responded to 911 open line calls on Avenue E and Eagle Street.
- A deputy assisted a stranded motorist on Interstate 10.
- A suspicious vehicle was reported on State Highway 163.
Feb. 18
- Deputies responded to a motor vehicle crash on State Highway 163. No injuries were reported.
- A deputy assisted a citizen with a locked vehicle on State Highway 163.
- A theft of service was reported on 15th Street.
- Deputies responded to a structure fire on State Highway 163. The fire department assisted.
- Suspicious person calls were reported on Ward Street.
- A 911 open line call was reported on Appaloosa Run.
Feb. 19
- Suspicious person calls were reported on Avenue H and Avenue E.
- Deputies responded to a motor vehicle crash on Interstate 10. Fire, EMS and DPS assisted.
Feb. 20
- A deputy assisted with a locked vehicle on Avenue E.
- A welfare check was conducted on State Highway 163.
- Deputies responded to a disturbance on Blas Street.
- A suspicious vehicle was reported on Avenue F.
- An assault was reported on State Highway 163.
Feb. 21
- Deputies responded to a motor vehicle crash on State Highway 137. EMS and fire assisted.
- A loud music complaint was reported on Avenue E.
- Downed power lines were reported on Avenue E. AEP was notified.
- Suspicious person calls were reported on Medical Drive and 12th Street.
- A welfare concern was reported on Avenue I.
- A disturbance was reported on Santa Rosa Street.
Arrests
Feb. 17

Dominique Devonte Bivens, Corpus Christi — Arrested for possession of marijuana under 2 ounces. Bivens was arraigned, posted bond and released.
Feb. 19

Henry IV Pena, San Antonio — Arrested for possession of a controlled substance, Penalty Group 2, between 1 and 4 grams. Pena was arraigned, posted bond and released.
