Elizabeth Ann Huereca

Elizabeth Ann Huereca (Liz) 65 of Abilene Texas went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 31, 2024. In her final moments, Liz was surrounded by an outpouring of love and comfort, held by her children, family, friends, and her long-time partner as she peacefully took her last breath, her hand embraced by those who loved her deeply. Born on March 16, 1959, in Ozona, Texas to Howard Huereca Sr. and Aurora Huereca.

Liz was preceded in death by her father Howard Huereca Sr., her brother Harvey Huereca Sr., and her beloved aunt Margie Diaz among many other cherished family members and friends.

Liz’s loving spirit will be profoundly missed by her mother Aurora Huereca: her brother Howard Huereca Jr.; her children Jonas Daniel Huereca, Dorthiann Rudelle Huereca, and Jason Howard Huereca; and her adored grandchildren Alizae Ortiz, Jazaylea Ussery, and Anthony Xavier Suarez. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and dear friends, all of whom she held close to her heart.

Liz was a beacon of joy and kindness, never greeting anyone with less than a warm smile. Her fun-loving and caring nature left everyone she met with cherished memories and a good time. Above all, Liz loved her grandkids, kids, and family more than anything in this world.

Her legacy of love, Generosity, and joy will live on through her family, who will forever hold her memory dear. Though we mourn her passing, we find comfort in the knowledge that we will meet again in heaven with our Holy father.
