Campers learn skills

July 25, 2024

Ozona—Crockett County hosted two exciting and educational camps for young people.

Participants spent the day creating their own aprons, learning valuable sewing skills during District 6’s Stitch N' Thyme Camp. The camp included a grilling lesson where campers grilled burgers for lunch, and they topped off the day by making solar s'mores, combining fun with practical learning.

Clover Camp partnered with Irion County. On Thursday, campers explored the world of insects, created edible aquifers, and tie-dyed shirts, fostering creativity and scientific curiosity. Friday offered activities including making strawberry-lemon jam, preparing mini-pizzas for lunch, and sewing potholders.

It was a week packed with hands-on learning, creativity, and fun for all participants.
