Daniel “Danny ” Moran
Daniel “Danny” Moran was born in Sonora, TX on March 7, 1967 but grew up in Ozona where he became a lifelong member of the community.
Danny had a very close relationship with his family and loved making memories, especially when it came to hunting and out-door activities. He received his first hunting rifle at the age of 11 where he would go on annual hunting trips with his dad. From the moment he was born, Danny was a mischievous little boy who always kept his mom on her toes, he was the ultimate prankster with a funny sense of hu-mor, especially when it came to his little sissy Cathy.
After graduating high school in 1985, and two wonderful years later, Dan married his childhood friend and high school sweetheart, Irma Tobar Moran. They were blessed with their beautiful daughter, Malorie Michelle Mo-ran. Being a dad was one of the proudest moments of his life
Danny was known for his generous spirit, always willing to help family, friends, and even strangers. He made sure everyone had what they needed, whether it was food, money, fixing a flat, or providing work. He had a natural affinity for people, and loved helping people solve their problems.
As a child, Danny accepted Christ as his savior and re-dedicated his faith in June of this year. On July 28, 2024, our beloved Danny Boy went to be with our Creator in heaven while being surrounded by his adoring family, sending him off with love and worship to our Lord.
Danny is survived by his wife, Irma Moran of Ozona, daughter, Malorie Lerma of San Antonio, grand-daughter Ava & son-in-law “C” of San Antonio, his parents, Rodolfo & Margarita Moran of Ozona, his sister, Cathy Rodriguez of Round Rock, brother-in-law Anthony & nephew, Josh Rodriguez of Round Rock, his little brother, Jordan Moran.
