Crockett County Commissioners Court met on Sept. 11 and approved multiple items on their lengthy agenda.

The Court approved a resolution to honor patriot day, a day of service. 

The court voted to approve the Crockett County Consolidated Common School District’s budget.

$250 was donated to the Fire dept. from JB Miller & Co and $25 was donated to the library from Jo Anne Hearne in Rosalind Williams’ memory.

The court approved raising the tire disposal fee at the collection center to $5 for car tires and $10 for semi-truck tires.

Court voted to allow the Civic Center to host a gun show during Deerfest.

The librarian will retire at the end of the year and the library is looking for her replacement. They received four new computers from a grant and applied for another grant for laptops from the Permian Basin Literacy Council. The library’s Lego after-school club hosted 38 kids. 

Court approved $20,000 for Christmas lighting and decorations for the county.

Jury duty fees increased to $58 per day.

The court approved a no-parking zone in front of the high school.

The countywide burn ban is still in effect.
