Ozona—The Crockett County barn buzzed with excitement as the 78th Annual Crockett County Junior Livestock Show celebrated the work and dedication of local youth. During the event, 40 exhibitors presented their livestock projects, which included rabbits, fine wool sheep, Dorper sheep, meat goats, Angora goats, swine, and horses.

This tradition provides an opportunity for young exhibitors to demonstrate their skills. Months of preparation were evident as each participant took the ring, showcasing their animals with professionalism and care. The livestock show serves as a platform and a means of fostering life skills such as responsibility, discipline, and teamwork.

"The commitment these kids show to their animals and the program is incredible," Rebecca Taylor from the Crockett County 4-H program said. "Events like this help build the future leaders of our community."

Families and community members supported the exhibitors.

The show featured a variety of awards and recognitions, celebrating both the animals and their handlers. Professionals judged each category.
