Robert “Bobby” Norman Aycock

Robert “Bobby” Norman Aycock, 86, of Ingram, Texas, peacefully passed away surrounded by his family on March 23, 2025. He was born in Edinburg, Texas, to Allena Belle Elder and Cloyd Norman Aycock on October 21, 1938. He married Mildred Jones in August 1960. He later married George Ann Poole in Alice, Texas, on August 24, 1968.
Bobby was a proud United States Marine, serving in the 1st  Marine Division until 1965. A dedicated family provider, Bobby then worked as a petroleum engineer for Fesco, Inc. until retirement in 1987. After retirement, Bobby worked as a camp manager for Camp Bandina Christian Youth Camp and then as a foreman for the 111 Ranch in Bandera County before settling down for the quiet life in Ingram, Texas.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, C.N. Aycock and Allena Belle Aycock; his in-laws, William and Evelyn Poole; his brother, Thomas Elder Aycock; his wife, George Ann Aycock; and his daughter, Karise Dawn Richardson.
Bobby is survived by his children, Sherry Quellhorst and her husband, William, Roy Dwane Aycock, Robert Norman Aycock, Jr., and William Thomas Aycock and his wife, Ronda; his sister, Colleen Wallace and her husband, David; his sisters-in-law, Kathleen Jester Aycock, Prissy Urban, Cyndy Zachry and her husband, Rowan, and Patty Foster and her husband, Wade; his 14 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. 
A memorial service will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Kerrville on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at 2 p.m. There will not be a graveside service. 
The Aycock family wishes to extend our sincere gratitude to Mary Knight for assisting in Bobby’s care over the past two years and to Embrace Hospice for assisting in his final weeks.
