Four Ozonans left by bus last night for Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio and induction into the U.S. Army. A fifth selection, completing the country’s draft call for May was transferred to the San Angelo board for induction.

David Childress, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Childress was named the winner of the annual Woman’s Forum Citizenship award at the 1965 graduation ceremony at the High School auditorium last Friday night. Mrs. T. J. 'Bailey, president of the Forum, opened the envelope which named the winner of the award, voted each year by the high school faculty.

This bevy of beauties will be adding glamour to the head of the Ozona High School marching band next fall. Selected by out of town judges shortly before the end of school, the girls are, in front, l. and r., Helen Bunger and Deklyn Cain. In back are head twirler Hope Phillips, Nancy Womack and Karen Kirby.

Charles and Jane Womack were honored during commencement exercises for junior high students Thursday. He retires after serving in the Ozona school system for 34 years. Mr. and Mrs. Womack, center, are flanked by Jeffery Sutton from the school board and Superintendent Garland Davis.
