Iraan welcomes Santa to town

The Iraan-Sheffield Chamber of Commerce hosted its annual Santa in the Square on Dec. 9. 

The festivities started off with the 6th-12th grade bands performing a Christmas concert. 

After being filled with holiday cheer, the Chamber invited the community to come to the youth center and vote for their favorite Christmas tree. 

Once all the votes were tallied, the following were announced as the winners:

First place, the Iraan-Sheffield Booster Club

Second place, Brave National Bank

Third place, McMahon Supply. 

There were waffles and pancakes with Buddy the Elf, which were topped with chocolate syrup, sprinkles, cookies, and anything else sweet.

Sirens from the Iraan Volunteer Fire Department announced to the town that Santa and Mrs. Clause, along with a snowman and their own reindeer, were arriving at the Town Square to take pictures with all the good children of Iraan. 

After visiting with Santa and getting pictures taken, the Chamber members handed out stockings provided by the Brave National Bank and candy camps.
